ABOUT THE ACADEMY
NACET is one of a kind embryology academy that will train embryologists in their advanced IVF lab. The training has been anchored with international guidelines in embryology.
The embryologists will be trained in the lab equipped with latest technologies & SOPs of international standards, which will help them enhance their skills. The professionals graduating from the NACET will have enhanced skills in the field of embryology given Nova IVF’s vast experience of more than a decade in providing IVF treatment to couples both in urban and tier 2 cities across the country.

Dr. PGL Lalit Kumar
Head Embryology
Scientific Director
Dr. Lalit brings in over 25 years of expertise in Human Embryology and a profound passion for reproductive science. Dr Lalit holds a PhD in Medical Sciences (Reproductive Physiology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. While doing his PhD he had a stint at Cambridge university, UK. He was awarded the prestigious B K Anand gold medal for best outgoing Postgraduate at AIIMS in 2002.
Prior to joining Nova IVF, he served as Docent/Associate Professor in Experimental Reproductive Medicine at Karolinska Institute (KI), Stockholm, Sweden—one of the world’s leading medical universities and home of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. His work focuses on gene expression and AI-driven technologies aimed at developing non-invasive methods to identify high-quality embryos and improve clinical out comes in ART.
Dr. Lalit maintains a strong global network of collaborators across the European Union and beyond. He has also contributed academically with more than 75 publications in index journals ad served as member of editorial boards of leading ESHRE journals, including Human Reproduction and Human Reproduction Update.

Anuja Kamath has over 20+ years of experience in handling all aspects of embryology, quality assurance & quality control and data management. She has played a key role in setting up IVF and embryology labs in various centres across India. She has academic interest and has participated and facilitated various workshops and training programs on fertility. She has been a faculty in training programs for embryologists for over 10+ years. She holds a post graduate in physiology and biotech from Mumbai University.

Frequently Asked Questions
- As per the ART Act, Embryologist -
Should be MSc - Clinical Embryology (full time) from a recognised university with an additional 3 year onsite experience in an ART Laboratory
OR
Should be MSc - LS/ Biotechnology with min 1 year of onsite full time clinical embryology certified training in addition to 4 years’ experience in registered ART Level 2 Clinic
- The candidate who has successfully completed PG in life sciences /Biotechnology/reproductive biology and wants to choose Embryology as a career.
- The candidate on successful completion of 1 year course in academy would be given the designation of Embryo -Tech during the mandatory requirement of work experience.
- The selected candidates will be trained in the Academy as per the ART Act which requires 1 year onsite full-time clinical embryology training.
- After completion of 1 year in Academy, if found competent will be placed in a NOVA Lab for 3 years (ART Act requires 4 years’ experience in ART Clinic)
- The Embryo -Tech would perform day to day Andrology and Embryology procedures under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Embryologist.
- The candidate will be placed in NACET for a period of 1 year (includes 4 weeks placement in NOVA Lab for observation).
- Yes, if you successfully complete 1 year in NACET and are found to be competent, will be placed in NOVA Lab.
- Yes, you will get a course completion certificate along with an experience certificate only on successful completion of 3 years working full time in NOVA Lab.
- Rs 2 L (plus an additional refundable Bond)
- Yes, after placement in the NOVA Lab you will be paid a salary
- This is an offline full-time course, as per the ART Act, which will be conducted in NACET
